Country Music Stars Unite to Fight Data Centers

Country music legends are trading in their guitars for a new cause. Brad Paisley, Willie Nelson, Tanya Tucker, and Gavin Adcock are speaking out against the construction of massive data centers in their communities. These stars argue the buildings are ugly, use too much water and electricity, and don’t belong near rural land or urban zoos.

Brad Paisley started a petition to stop a data center near a Nashville zoo, calling it an “enormous monstrosity.” Willie Nelson has raised concerns about his Texas hometown. And Gavin Adcock didn’t mince words, calling developers “rich money-grubbing assholes.” The fight is crossing party lines, uniting fans and residents who are worried about what these centers mean for their towns. A recent Gallup poll found only 7% of Americans strongly favor data center expansion.

Do you have a data center going up near you? Are you bothered by the way it looks or how it might affect your water bill? Let us know what you think in the comments.
